Kit Kat Orange
Hi everyone! I apologize for the lack of blog posts. I had Fan Expo Canada and TIFF ’15 in September and that really put a stop on everything else. But, I have dug up A LOT of old content I was supposed to put up waaay before and now I’m finally posting them!
Anyway, back in February during Chinese New Year time, I bought the Kit Kat ORANGE bar. According to the data on my photos, I actually didn’t try it until April. It’s now late October and I’ve finally decided to blog about it! (I definitely need a blog schedule!)
Since I did buy it around Chinese New Year, it came with a special packaging. I thought it was one huge Kit Kat bar, but the packaging was very deceiving. Then again, I also didn’t read the bottom left of it where it said eight bars were contained inside (heehee).
As I take out each little bar, the packaging of the eight individual bars have almost the exact packaging design as the the “big” one.
And of course, the conjoined sticks of chocolate wafer goodness. I was actually hoping the sticks would be orange like how the green tea/matcha flavoured ones are green. To my disappointment, they were regular looking Kit Kat sticks.
Here’s a cross-section of the inside, in case you were wondering.
So, how did it taste? It tasted like a regular Kit Kat with a punch of orange flavour. It’s not a hugely packed with an orange flavouring, but it’s quite distinctive, especially from a normal Kit Kat bar. It’s obviously artificial flavouring but the orange taste does taste close to an actual orange.
If you’re curious, I’d say go out and try this product. I know I’m not selling this product in such a positive manner, but it really doesn’t taste bad at all. It’s pretty much a normal Kit Kat bar with drops of orange flavouring mixed in its batch. So, you still have that Kit Kat goodness.
Would I repurchase this? Probably not. If they decide to remake it and have it actually orange, then there’s a greater chance I will.
